Anthony Joshua is insecure about his chin, according to former Olympic boxer Kenneth Egan.
Anthony Joshua's chances of facing Tyson Fury before the end of Fury's career are slim at this stage. According to Kenneth Egan, Joshua hasn't got much chance of retaining his world titles against Oleksandr Usyk.
Usyk outclassed Joshua on Saturday night in London. It was a unanimous victory that impressed Egan to no end.
“It was an amazing fight. I watched every second of it. I was glued to the tv," he said.
Just the display of the boxing ability of Usyk was amazing, from start to finish. You can never imagine a previous heavyweight being able to move and be up on his toes for 12 rounds like Usyk was. And if you noticed in the fight, his hands were up around his head for the 12 rounds as well.
He never dropped his hands once and his head movement for 12 rounds was left and right, left and right. He was like a nodding dog in a car, he was."
Although Usyk won on all the judge's cards, there was one English judge who caught Egan's eye for the wrong reasons as he had Joshua close at the end.
"Usyk just put on a display on Saturday night that was just mesmerizing. It was really, really worth a watch. Hands down he came out on top. I was raging at the English judge, he gave it 115-113, disgusting score.
The other two had it at a fairly wide margin.”
While Usyk was the star of the night, Joshua's fall from grace appears set to continue. This is his second high-profile loss after the Andy Ruiz shock defeat during the prime of his career.
"Joshua hadn't a clue what to do with him, not a clue. I'm sure he sat in that chair for three minutes after every round and the lads were looking at him saying 'We don't know how to solve this puzzle.' That's deflating because he didn't throw his right hand that much and when he did Usyk caught him.
Usyk needs to land that left hand and he did.
Joshua was afraid of his beejaysis of Usyk's left hand. He's very, very insecure about that chin of his as well. We noticed when he took a couple of shots, his legs started to wobble. Is that resistence gone from Joshua when he got nailed a couple of years ago by Ruiz?
Joshua might be lucky to see the 12th round in a rematch...[Usyk] could beat Fury."
Usyk beats Joshua on points, is new world heavyweight champion.
