Eight points proved to be the narrow difference between Toulon and Munster in the Heineken Cup semi-final yesterday.
In the cold light of day we were joined by Liam Toland and Bernard Jackman to review the game.
The lads analysed the key moments in the game which swung the match in the French side's favour despite the fact that Toulon played "tactically naively" at times.
The two discussed the financial gap that may grow between the Irish provinces and the French clubs in the wake of the new Rugby Champions Cup deal.
"The gap's going to increase because of the new TV deal for the Top 14 and the new funding from the French union to the Top 14 clubs," Bernard explained, also discussing how much will filter to the Rabo Pro 12 teams and what needs to be done to make sure the Irish provinces are potential European winners.
"If you look at the Irish provinces now, they probably need to spend."
Toland also explained why Munster may need five or six new players ahead of next season as they look to keep up with the likes of Toulon.
