While the Olympics were memorable for the O'Donovan brothers, this past weekend has really underlined what Ireland's rowers are achieving.
There was a gold for Ireland as Mark O'Donovan and Shane O'Driscoll at the the men's lightweight pairs at the European rowing championships in the Czech Republic.
Gary and Paul O'Donovan, who won silver in Rio last year repeated that feat once again, while Denise Walsh also a silver in the lightweight women's single sculls.

What unites all these successes as the fact that they are all part of Skibbereen Rowing Club and the fact that based on every interview you hear them in, they are brilliant craic.
Off The Ball found that out once again as the O'Donovan brothers, Mark O'Donovan and Shane O'Driscoll joined Joe Molloy on the line in a raucously entertaining chat, with all four on the line all at once, talking over one another and throwing out some anecdotes and one-liners:
Paul did dive in though to give an insight into the success of rowing out of Skibbereen.
"One of the real reasons is that there are no secrets and there is nothing special about Skibbereen or the people here. We're the same as the other people. We've water, boats and rowing machines, gym equipment as any other rowing club in the country," he said.
"But what we have and is instilled in us is just the belief in ourselves and also the fact that there are no secrets so you have to put in the hard work."
