"I feel okay" and "will now cheer on the boys" | Denmark's Christian Eriksen

Denmark midfielder Christian Eriksen has written a message to thank people for their support "from all around the world".

The former Spurs star collapsed due to cardiac arrest during Denmark's Euro 2020 match against Finland last Saturday.

The game was in Copenhagen was stopped for over an hour before both sets of players agreed to complete it - following contact with Eriksen.

"Big thanks for your sweet and amazing greetings and messages from all around the world," the Inter Milan midfielder posted in an update from his hospital bed on Instagram.

"It means a lot to me and my family. I'm fine - under the circumstances. I still have to go through some examinations at the hospital, but I feel okay.

"Now, I will cheer on the boys on the Denmark team in the next matches. Play for all of Denmark."

Denmark team doctor Morten Boesen says the 29-year-old's medical results have so far been normal.

"The exams that have been done so far look fine, we don't have an explanation why it happened. I can't answer that question.

"I didn't see it live, I saw it on screen when it happened. You saw the same as me. No explanation so far."
