Hurling is going global lately, and after it got a lot of attention once it was shown on Sky Sports, there was only one destination that it was headed next: the USA.
Fenway Park, the iconic home of the Boston Red Sox, has been transformed this weekend as it hosts hurlers from the Dublin and Galway teams, who will take part in a special exhibition match dubbed the Fenway classic.
Around 28,000 fans are reported to have turned out to witness the game, and take part in an afternoon of festivities that will highlight Ireland's culinary and musical heritage as well.

The ground itself has been transformed, and is home to hurling for the first time since 1954.
