After what's been an incredible few years for John Kiely and the Limerick hurlers, they're now being rewarded for their efforts with a trip to the Caribbean.
Limerick hurling sponsor JP McManus wanted to thank the hurlers for what's been another great season by inviting them to a luxury resort in Barbados.
According to the Limerick Leader, the players, management, and senior county board officials have all been invited to the Sandy Lane resort in October.
After winning the All-Ireland last year and the National League and Munster Championships over the past few seasons, the renowned racehorse owner wanted to give something back to the team,
As the Leader reported the large group will be able to bring partners on the 10-day trip to the Mr McManus-owned Sandy Lane resort.
A source from Limerick GAA commented by saying "It is well deserved. The team, panel and management team have put in an extraordinary 18 months and they deserve this holiday."
Limerick lost to Kilkenny in an epic All-Ireland semi-final last month but the future is still bright for this Limerick team who've a core of young players driving them forward.
The likes of Cian Lynch and Gearóid Hegarty are still in their mid 20s and will be mainstays in the squad for the foreseeable future.
