Leinster GAA Champonship dates and venues confirmed

All Ireland Senior Football champions Dublin will start the defence of their Leinster title against Westmeath on November 7th.

The Leinster Council has announced the times, dates and venues for both the Football and Hurling Championships.

Dessie Farrell’s first Championship game in charge of the Dubs will take place at O'Moore Park in Portlaoise at 6.15pm on Saturday, November 7th.

The Leinster Championship gets underway on November 1st with three preliminary round matches.

Wexford host Wicklow at Wexford Park, Offaly and Carlow will meet in Tullamore and Louth and Longford are down to play in Mullingar.

The final is scheduled for Croke Park on November 21st.

The Leinster Senior Hurling Championship is due to get underway on October 24th with the quarter-final meeting of Dublin and Laois at Croke Park.

Both semi-finals will form a double header at Croke Park on October 31st with Dublin or Laois taking on Kilkenny and Wexford facing Galway.

The final will take place on November 14th.
