Kilkenny's Grace Walsh paid tribute to her teammates after they won the 2020 Liberty Insurance All-Ireland Senior Camogie Championship final on Saturday evening.
Brian Dowling's side beat reigning champions Galway by three points to claim the O'Duffy Cup at Croke Park.
The Cats had lost the last three All-Ireland finals.
Speaking to OTB Sports after the game, Walsh said this made their victory all the more pleasing.
"I can't even describe it, it's actually incredible playing out there today, it's going to give us something to smile about when we look back on 2020.
"It just shows the belief and the spirit that's in this group. We've so much belief and confidence in ourselves.
"To come back after losing three All-Ireland finals in a row and to win after one of the toughest years that everybody in the world has put down, it's brilliant, it's absolutely brilliant.
"We might never get here again, so why not make the absolute most of it?"
The game was of course played in an empty Croke Park due to Covid-19 restrictions.
Walsh said that finally winning it in such a setting made it even more enjoyable.
"I suppose it's strange not having a crowd there but it probably makes it even more special.
"It's just the team, it's the family that you've worked really hard with all year and you get to enjoy the moment with the people that matter the most.
"To get up there and to lift that cup - I didn't think we'd be back here again so it's great."
The game was nip and tuck throughout with the sides level on six different occasions.
It wasn't until Kilkenny's Denise Gaule scored from the penalty spot that it became clear whose day it was going to be.
Walsh was full of praise for Galway who she says they always enjoy a good battle with.
"Against Galway every year it's always so, so physical.
"I love playing against Galway because the two of us hurl against each other, it's not a really tactical game, we all just want to go out and play hurling.
"It was physical, it was tough, it was fast and obviously enjoyable for us."
