It appears TJ Ryan's successor has been found as John Kiely looks poised to take over as Limerick senior hurling manager.
The All-Ireland winning U21 manager was identified as the preferred candidate by the five man committee and is set to be ratified this evening.
As part of his backroom team, coach Paul Kinnerk will come in to assist Kiely, while Joe O'Connor joins as strength and conditioning coach. Jimmy Quilty will be appointed as one of two selectors, with the second still yet to be decided upon.
Na Piarsaigh manager Shane O’Neill had also been linked with a the position after guiding the team to All-Ireland senior club hurling glory in March.
