Tipperary backed up last weekend's win over Cork with a ruthless 2-30 to 0-18 win over Waterford in the Munster Hurling Championship on Sunday.
The sides tore into each other from the off and Tipperary led 0-5 to 0-2 after only six minutes. The home side built up a comfortable 0-13 to 0-6 lead when Waterford's Conor Gleeson saw red for a second bookable offence in the 29th minute.
Despite a short-lived comeback in the second half, Tipperary powered over the finish line to record a comprehensive 18 point win.
Speaking after the match, Kilkenny legend Tommy Walsh hailed the Tipp attack, telling Joe: "They're just after being clapped off the field. The Tipperary supporters are on a high. They've waited to see their heroes at the end of the game - they're really after buying back into the whole Tipperary scene.
"To summarise in four names, Michael Breen in midfield: 6 points from play. 'Bubbles' Dwyer, corner forward: four points from play. John McGrath, the other corner-forward who was marking Noel Connors, the best corner back in the last number of years: 5 points from play and Jason Forde: 1-4 from play. I think that tells its own story. It was really about the Tipperary magicians here.

Image: ©INPHO/Ryan Byrne"We all knew how well they can play the game of hurling but just as important, and possibly more importantly - they backed it up with a ferocious work ethic and a 'physicalness' that needs to be in this Tipperary team for them to perform at this level.
"And, Liam Sheedy's hallmark of professionalism and work ethic and getting the best out of his players and probably players hurling with belief. Every time they were taken off here - he was over clapping them on the back and it really looks like there's a fantastic spirit in that Tipperary team.
"It turned in the second half - Waterford came out all guns blazing and brought it back to three or four points but then up stepped Seamus Callanan. He soloed in along the right hand side of the goal, played a lovely ball across to 'Bubbles' who dropped it - it came to him at a ferocious speed and he gave it lovely little flick to Jason Forde who put the ball in the back of the net.
"And then, Callanan himself with something similar - he was on the end of a pass at the end and he put in the second goal. The game probably turned in that second half on the first goal from Jason Forde.
"All is rosy in the garden here in Semple Stadium."
