The teams shared five goals and 31 points as they battled to a thrilling stalemate.
Elsewhere, in Division 1B Limerick beat Laois 6-33 to 1-19 at O'Moore Park and Longford beat Warwickshire 2-18 to 2-12 at Pearse Park.
