The GAA weekend recap | The Cody-Shefflin handshake | Championship shocks | GAA Late Night

After a weekend packed with Championship action, get all of the GAA content you need in one place with the OTB Sports weekend recap.

In the Leinster Football Championship, Dublin looked comfortable for their big win over Wexford on Saturday, while Westmeath cruised past Longford with an eight point win.

Meanwhile in Munster, it went down to penalties between Limerick and Clare, which The Treaty County won to earn themselves a date with Tipperary in two weeks in the semi-final. Tipp earned their spot in that match with a win over Waterford.

Monaghan moved on in the Ulster football Championship after beating Down.

However, it was all about the hurling on Sunday, most notably the meeting of Henry Shefflin's Galway and Brian Cody's Kilkenny.

The history between the two managers is well known, as this would be the first time that Shefflin would manage Galway against his own county in the Championship.

It would be the student that beat the master on the day, with some controversy at the end as even James Skehill admitted that the final free might have been a bit harsh on Kilkenny.

Wexford were ruthless in their dismantling of Laois in the Leinster hurling championship, with Dublin getting the win over Westmeath too.

One of the most talked about matches on GAA Late Night, though was the re-ignition of the Derry-Tyrone rivalry. The All-Ireland champions were defeated by their old enemies on Sunday, much to the chagrin of their supporters , while Tommy Rooney felt vindicated for his prediction on Friday's OTB AM.

Elsewhere on Sunday, Kildare put Louth to the sword with a massive win in the Leinster football championship, while Meath did the same to Wicklow.
