Round-up of the day's GAA action from around the country

There was plenty of GAA action around the country today as hurling took centre stage with the Allianz National League reaching crunch time.

Galway dumped Tipperary out of the competition in Division One Group A, beating them by 8 points at Pearse Stadium to advance to the knock-out stages.

Two second-half goals from Conor Whelan and one from Cathal Mannion saw the hosts secure a 3-21 to 3-13 victory in Salthill and book their place in the next round, where they'll face Wexford.

Tipperary's attention meanwhile now turns to the summer as they prepare for the Munster Championship.

Westmeath beat Carlow 1-17 to 2-8 in Mullingar to relegate Colm Bonnar's side to Division Two.

Killian Doyle scored the goal for the Lake County in the 19th minute.

Offaly let a six-point stoppage time lead slip in Division 2A to draw 0-20 to 2-14 with Antrim at O'Connor Park.

Neil McManus and Conor McCann broke Offaly hearts with goals in the 77th and 79th minute.

In Division 2B a late Conor Kelly equaliser was the final score of the game at Celtic Park where they drew with Kildare on a scoreline of 2-16 to 3-13.

It gave Derry the draw they needed to finish top of the table and reach the league final where they'll face Ulster neighbours Down.

Donegal beat Armagh 1-18 to 19 points in Carrickmore to win the Division 3A final.

Sligo then beat Fermanagh 3-21 to 14 points in round 3 of Division 3B to book their place in the final.
