After Davy Fitzgerald was sent from the sidelines during his side's draw with Galway on Sunday afternoon, former Wexford boss Liam Griffin believes there is little hope of the Clare native changing his ways now.
To his credit, Davy Fitzgerald may have had suitable cause to be disgruntled on Sunday afternoon.
"He had a very justifiable case yesterday," Liam Griffin posited on Monday's OTB AM.
"Last week in Dublin, there was an off the ball incident in that match and the linesman was looking the wrong way too.
"Now, you expect the officials to do their job on the sideline when something happens opposite them, so, he has a point."
Frustrated by what he perceived as an injustice against his own team, a bullish Davy Fitzgerald carried this gripe when speaking to Off the Ball after yesterday's tense Leinster SHC tie.

The All-Ireland winning manager of Wexford in 1996, Liam Griffin, despite not wholly agreeing with the manner in which Davy Fitzgerald reacts to disappointing decisions, nevertheless believes there is little hope of the Clare native addressing this now; irrespective of any pressure that may come from the county board.
"Davy is box office, no matter what we say," Griffin commented.
"We're talking about Davy here, and as far as I'm concerned, Davy is what he is. He's not going to change.
"He brings so much passion and whether we like it or not, that's the way he is.
"I would say that the county board would be addressing this with Davy, trying to tell him to calm down, but would you like to take that on? Would I like to take that on? No, not going to do it.
"At the end of the day, the issue for me is the match and I thought that Wexford ... played the best hurling yet under Davy [for parts of Sunday's game]."
While it is as yet uncertain what is to come for Davy Fitzgerald after Sunday's outburst, Wexford, after drawing their opening two games of the provincial round-robin, will take on Carlow next.
