Cork win All-Ireland Minor Hurling Championship setting up a potential 'Rebel Treble'

Cork are the All-Ireland Minor Hurling Champions after beating Galway 1-23 to 0-12 in the final at Semple Stadium on Saturday evening.

William Buckley lead the way up front for the Rebels as their Minor side hope to provide a glimpse of the future for the Senior side, who will take on Limerick in their All-Ireland final on Sunday.

Galway were the first on the board, however it was all Cork from then on out as they raced to a 0-5 to 0-1 lead before the first water break.

The Rebels continued to soar for the remainder of the half, as they scored a further 11 points to Galway's six to take a 0-16 to 0-7 lead at half time.

Cork all but secured the All-Ireland final with an early goal in the second half through David Cremin, before scoring a further six points to run out big victors over the four-time and reigning champions.

A sign of things to come for Cork?

Cork are in line to do the treble hurling All-Ireland, as the senior side are lined up for their All-Ireland final on Sunday against Limerick.

The Cork U20s won their final on Wednesday, with Saturday's minor victory completing the double for the Rebel county.

After the success of the minor side and juniors, the Rebels will be hoping to lift the Liam MacCarthy for the first time since 2005, in their first final appearance since their All-Ireland final repeat of 2013 against Clare.
