The Taoiseach has confirmed that adult team sports training can resume from 10 May while matches will return from 7 June.
Adults will only be allowed to train in pods of 15 while the non-elite matches that have been given the go-ahead from 7 June will not be allowed to have spectators in attendance.
The dates were agreed in a Cabinet meeting today but there has been no indication that contact training will be allowed before matches begin again in June.
Gyms and swimming pools will also be allowed to reopen on 7 June. However all training must be done on an individual basis as no classes will be allowed to take place.
Underage training in all codes started up again this week while golf clubs and tennis courts all reopened.
May 10: Non-contact training in pods of 15 will be permitted.
June 7: Return of full training and matches. Gyms and swimming pools reopen for individual training.
