Three of the All-Ireland Championship round four senior football qualifiers will take place this Saturday evening with the LIT Gaelic Grounds chosen as the venue to stage the much-anticipated all-Connacht clash.
2016 & 2017 finalists Mayo take on neighbours Galway at the Limerick venue with the match forming part of a double-header with the Connacht senior women's final replay.
That match, also between Galway and Mayo, throws in at 4.00pm with the men's clash getting underway at 7.00pm.
The GAA explained in an official statement this afternoon why the men's game was moved to another province.
"Efforts to fix the Galway-Mayo game for a Connacht venue were not feasible as there was no agreement between the counties to toss for home advantage, and there was no other Connacht venue deemed capable of catering for the expected interest in the tie.
"Both counties were consulted and agreed to the Limerick venue which has a capacity of 43,000 with 20,000 seats."
All-Ireland Championship hurling ties take place on Sunday
The all-Ulster clash between last year's beaten finalists Tyrone and Cavan will take place at St Tiernach's Park in Clones with a 5.00pm throw-in time.
That will be preceded by the Ulster under-20 semi-final between Cavan v Tyrone at 2.45pm.
Also at 5.00pm; Munster finalists Cork will go up against Laois at Semple Stadium in Thurles where Kilkenny take on Clare in the All Ireland Minor Hurling Championship.
There is a football and hurling double-header to look forward at O'Moore Park in Portlaoise on Sunday, as Meath look to bounce back from their heavy Leinster final defeat to Dublin when they face Clare.
That match starts at 2.00pm and will be followed at 4.15 pm by the preliminary All-Ireland Senior Hurling Championship preliminary quarter-final between Dublin and Laois.
The other hurling preliminary last-eight dual between Westmeath and Cork throws in at TEG Cusack Park in Mullingar at 3.00pm.
