For a short while last week, it looked as though Juventus manager Antonio Conte was set on leaving the club.
However he has since backed down as fans implored him to stay put and continue the success he has brought to a team that was in a bad place when he took over.
Having led Juventus to three straight Scudettos, Conte will be plotting to push the club to even greater heights.
"I think he is preaching that Europe shouldn't become an obsession, that Juventus don't have the resources of Real Madrid, Manchester City and Paris Saint Germain. But the thing that's often thrown back at him is that the likes of Atletico Madrid and Borussia Dortmund have managed to reach [Champions League] finals. That is the one asterisk against his record," said Horncastle.
"I think Europe will be a priority next season. As for the amount of money to spend, that has been a sticking point for Conte. Juventus have reached a sealing in terms of how much revenue they can make and I don't think they can make the kind of investment that he would like."
Horncastle also spoke about the widening gap between the top and bottom in Serie A.
