Republic of Ireland international Greg Cunningham has been ruled out for a number of months after suffering a torn ACL.
It means the Galway man will face a lengthy spell on the sidelines. He had been called into Mick McCarthy's squad for the upcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers against Georgia and Switzerland - however he came off injured at the weekend for Blackburn Rovers.
It was believed that he may have been competition for Wolves right-back Matt Doherty who will start on the left in Tbilisi on Saturday.

The 28-year-old is on loan at Championship side Blackburn Rovers, from Cardiff City and has made eight appearances so far this season for Tony Mowbray's team.

Cunningham came off the pitch during Rovers' loss in the Championship at the weekend after just 17 minutes and resulting scans have ruled him out of action for much of the rest of the season. The injury resulted in him not travelling with Mick McCarthy's side to Tbilisi and Geneva
He has won four caps for the Republic of Ireland senior squad over his career, with the first coming in a friendly against Algeria in a 3-0 win back in 2010.
