'You will only see four or five guys finish under par'

Peter Lawrie joined Ger this afternoon to look back at the first two days of the US Open at Chambers Bay and to look ahead at the weekend's action.

Masters champion Jordan Spieth and Patrick Reed lead the tournament on -5. Shane Lowry lies on -1 with Rory McIlroy five shots further back on +4.

Lawrie feels only a handful of players will finish under par, but he feels the Chambers Bay course is not fair on the players. He feels luck will play an important part in the outcome of the winner.

Shane Lowry is in the top 15 going into the weekend and is guaranteed his best finish at the tournament. Lawrie feels that Lowry's short game makes him a contender to win his first major title this weekend.

He also feels that the players further down the field, will play better today as the course will be in better condition to shoot some low scores.

Lawrie has been most impressed by Dustin Johnson, who lies a shot behind the leaders, praising his mental strength.

Ger also spoke to Lawrie about his performance last week in Austria, where he finished in the top 20. "I have had my slump" said Lawrie and he hopes to continue his strong form throughout the season.
