Greg Hardy's signing by the Dallas Cowboys last March continues to haunts the Texas team midway through the current NFL season.
The 27 year old defensive end was suspended last season by the NFL because of domestic abuse charges from an ex-girlfriend. Hardy was also banned for the first ten games of this season which was eventually lowered to four games.
After being released by the Carolina Panthers, Hardy was signed by the Dallas Cowboys and is now a regular feature in the team. The charges against Hardy were expunged from his criminal record last week, which resulted in American website Deadspin releasing photos of the bruises caused by Hardy to then girlfriend Nicole Holder.

Because of the Deadspin release, Hardy's position with the Cowboys has become strained. The teams owner Jerry Jones has been unwilling to speak about the situation.
Mac Engel from the Fort Worth Star-Telegram joined Nathan Murphy and balls.ie's Donny Mahoney on Off the Ball last night to talk about the situation.
"This is not the first time Jerry Jones has brought in a guy and given him a second chance. Today's social media climate is different to anything we have ever seen before. The outrage and backlash and reaction is immediate."
Engel thinks that Hardy is not worth the increasing hassle for the team but expects Hardy to continue with the team. "The Dallas Cowboys have not won a game with him so far and his old team have not lost a game without him."
