Who was the quickest player at the NFL Combine?

The NFL Combine has come and gone for another year.

American football collegiate prospects descend on Indianapolis every year to try and impress NFL teams in what is basically a full-body evaluation ahead of moving into the professional ranks.

The events vary from jumping as high as you can, to catching and tackling routines depending on position. The most eagerly anticipated event though at each combine is the 40-yard dash.

Almost all of the players at the combine are expected to take part in the event, which shows a player's pace. Running-backs and corner-backs are usually the quickest players at the event and this year was no exception.

University of Georgia running-back Keith Marshall did his NFL Draft prospects no harm by running the quickest 40 of the week. The 22-year-old ran 4.31 for 40-yards (36.576 metres)

To put Marshall's pace into context, American Olympic champion Maurice Green holds the 60-metres World Record at 6.39 seconds.
