WATCH: Irish cyclist breaks her collarbone in collision with other riders

An Irish cyclist was taken to hospital this weekend after she spilled off her bike in a collision with other riders at the Track Cycling World Championships in London.

Caroline Ryan was riding in a points race on the penultimate day of the Championships when a crash occurred on the track, which resulted in Ryan being carried away on a stretcher wearing a neck brace.

Despite taking a heavy fall, the Irish team later confirmed that Ryan did not lose consciousness and said that more details about her injury would be revealed when known.

Ryan, who won a bronze medal in the event in Melbourne four years ago, later posted a Tweet confirming that she had broken her collarbone and needed stitches.
