WATCH: Ice hockey player sees the funny side of getting his teeth knocked out

43-year-old Jaromir Jagr was hit in the face by a high stick from Alex Chiasson in his side's game against the Senators, and took to Twitter to reveal that he will need some dental work to repair the damage.

Jagr took the hit during a goalmouth scramble in what proved to be a very tight game as the Florida Panthers claimed a 2-1 win over the Ottawa Senators.

Jagr was left a bloody mess after the incident and was tended to on the ice by the medical team, but that wasn't going to stop him from having an impact on the game.

He came back in the second period and registered an assist for Corban Knight's opening goal, and has since spoken about the incident with Chiasson, saying there are no hard feelings between the two.

Jagr took to Twitter afterwards to share an image of his newly rearranged teeth, asking Santa if he could get some dental work for Christmas.
