UFC star Ronda Rousey has opened up about just how much of an effect her defeat to Holly Holm late last year had on her.
The previously dominant Rousey lost to Holm in a shock result at UFC193 in November, losing for the first time in her career and ceding the UFC Women's Bantamweight title to her rival in the process.
Rousey was on the Ellen DeGeneres show for an interview and revealed that she had suicidal thoughts in the wake of the fight.
"In the medical room, I was like down in the corner… I was sitting in the corner and I was like 'what am I anymore if I’m not this'. And I was literally sitting there and like thinking about killing myself and at that exact second I’m like, ‘I’m nothing, what do I do anymore and no one gives a shit about me anymore without this,'" she said, before explaining how she began to pick up the pieces.
