It is four months to the day since Conor McGregor last fought in the the Octagon. A second round stoppage over Chad Mendes in Las Vegas was the biggest win over the Dubliner's career but one word from that fight continues to annoy McGregor. Interim.
After Jose Aldo pulled out of the fight, a UFC Interim Featherweight Title was created which McGregor won. In a interview broadcast this week with BT Sport, McGregor has spoken about how he hates the phrase ahead of his rescheduled fight with Aldo next month.
"I'm the three time World Champion", he told Gareth A. Davies. "There aint no interim in this. I'm a World Champion. He's a World Champion. We're going to find out who is the unified World Champion."
McGregor faces Aldo at UFC 194 on December 12th. Dublin based Gunner Nelson will also fight on the card against Brazilian Demian Maia.
