Now that he has had time to decompress and digest the news that he is the unified Featherweight champion of the world, Conor McGregor took a moment to thank all his loyal followers who have been with him on his journey to success.
McGregor devoured Brazilian fighter Jose Aldo with just 13 seconds on the clock to unify the world title along with his interim belt which he won after he defeated Chad Mendes in July. McGregor was not the bookies preference ahead of this bout. Jose Aldo came into this fight on the back of a decade of dominance in which he successfully defended his title seven times in the last four years.
And he was expected to extend that record by one last night in the MGM Grand Arena.

But the former champion capitulated under the weight of McGregor's swinging left hand and referee John McCarthy was forced to intervene.
McGregor was photographed at his after-party in Las Vegas but he has also taken the opportunity to his social media sites to post a tribute message to all his fans throughout the world.
