Tyrrell Hatton continued his encouraging form in 2020 with a final round 67 helping him land the BMW PGA Championship at Wentworth, as a final day challenge from Shane Lowry failed to materialise.
Instead, there was an entertaining tussle throughout the fourth round between Hatton and Victor Perez, who ended four strokes adrift in second.
Perez will rue a poor finish - he was six-under for the day through 12 before playing the final six holes in two-over-par - but winner Hatton produced superb golf throughout the day to take the title.
It's a third Rolex Series title for the Englishman - and fifth European Tour title - and comes six months after he won the Arnold Palmer Invitational on the PGA Tour. The win is likely to bring him to the brink of the world's top 10, having started the week ranked at number 20.

He had to withstand fierce pressure from Perez throughout the final round. An eagle at the third helped the French man turn in 31, and when he followed with birdies at 11 and 12, it looked as though the momentum was with him.
Hatton, playing in the final group, one behind Perez, held firm, however, and managed to stay in front for the majority of the final round. Four back-nine birdies helped him finish at 19-under-par, four clear of Perez.
Shane Lowry, who was joint-leader after 36 holes, experienced a frustrating final day.
He teed off four shots adrift of Hatton, but never gained any momentum on Sunday. He turned in two-over-par 37, and although two back-nine birdies helped, the Offaly man eventually signed for a one-over 73, a four-round total of nine-under and a tie for 13th.
Graeme McDowell produced a superb final round of 67 to creep inside the top 25. Seven birdies were offset by two bogeys in a final round that brought him to six-under.
Padraig Harrington, meanwhile, finished in the red after a 71 saw him post a total of one-under for the week.
