Tiger Woods still looks very rusty ahead of a potential comeback

Tiger Woods' return preparations to golf are not going as smoothly as he hoped if his efforts on Monday are anything to go by.

Woods was speaking at a sponsor's event at the Congressional Country Club in Washington DC, when he took to the tee to hit a few exhibition shots. All three tee shots landed in the water sadly.

The 14-time major winner has not played in almost a year after twice going under the knife with back issues. He has registered to compete in the US Open but it is not yet known if he will compete at Oakmont next month.

Speaking after the exhibition, Woods revealed that he is unsure yet of when he will return to the game. "If I knew, I’d tell you, because it would be fun to know."

The 40-year-old also confirmed that he still hopes to beat Jack Nicklaus' record of 18 wins in major championships. Woods lies four majors behind the 76-year-old in the overall rankings.

Luckily for Woods, if he does return at Oakmont. he won't have to contend with any water hazards.
