SuperBowl 50 champions Denver Broncos look set to start next season without the two quarterbacks that led them to glory last season.
Peyton Manning announced his retirement from professional football earlier this week. He started in all of the team's playoff wins that ended up with SuperBowl victory.
Manning missed six games in the second half of the season and was replaced by Brock Osweiler. It was revealed on Wednesday night, that Osweiler looks set to leave Denver and join the Houston Texans.
I'm told QB Brock Osweiler has agreed to a deal in principle with the Houston #Texans.

Osweiler's contract had expired and Denver and despite negotiations between the 25-year-old and the SuperBowl champions he decided to move on to Texas. His four-year deal is expected to earn him $72million (€65.6million approx).
Texans QB Brock Osweiler's 4-year, $72 million deal inc $37 million fully guaranteed. $21 million in 2016, and $55 million in first 3 years.

With Manning and Osweiler having left the SuperBowl champions, there is now an opening for a star quarterback to move to Colorado. San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick is expected to be the Broncos' first choice backup. That news was revealed before Osweiler's move was announced.
If the #Broncos lose QB Brock Osweiler, expect them to come after QB Colin Kaepernick. That appears to be their backup plan.
