Teenage F1 driver Max Verstappen has been promoted to drive for Red Bull replacing Daniil Kvyat who has been demoted to its junior team Toro Rosso.
That switch will happen immediately and will run at least until the end of the season.
Russian Kvyat has paid the price after twice crashing into Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel during the opening lap of the Russian Grand Prix at the weekend.
Verstappen (18), who is the son of ex-F1 driver Jos and is highly rated after an impressive debut season in 2015, will race alongside Daniel Ricciardo at Red Bull.
The Dutch driver finished 12th in his debut season in Formula 1 with 49 points, having started the 2015 calendar as a 17-year-old, setting a record for youngest driver in F1's history.
