Ireland's Orla Barry has won a silver medal for Ireland this morning in the T57 women's discus throw at the IPC Athletics European Championships at Swansea University.
The Cork native, who bagged bronze at the 2012 Paralympic Games in London, finished second behind Bulgaria's Stela Eneva who threw a season best today.
Meanwhile, there's a realistic chance of another gold medal for Jason Smyth today. The Derry man is running in the T12 200 metres final this afternoon and faces much of the same competition as his 100 metres final on Tuesday with silver-medallist Artem Loginov and bronze-winner Joan Munar Martinez also in the field today. The race is currently scheduled for 15.55.
There's also Irish interest in the F56 final of the women's Javellin throw from 15.30 this afternoon with Offaly's Lorraine Regan hoping to be in contention for a medal.
