Shane Lowry is hoping to play against Tiger Woods sooner rather than later.
The former World No 1 could potentially return for the US Open after registering for the tournament and speaking to Off The Ball, the Offaly man says taking on a player he grew up watching is something he's relishing.
"I'd like to get a game of golf with Tiger Woods. It's something that I've always said, I grew up watching him. He was one of my heroes. It'd be great to see him back," he said.
"It'd be great to see him back. I don't know how good he's going to be when he comes back. I mean the top of world golf now is very strong at the minute, so it would be amazing to see Tiger back up there and it would be great to go head-to-head with him."

Lowry also reflected on the Masters at Augusta, describing his storming first round as "probably as good golf as I've played for a long time".
But as for the frenzied build-up to the tournament, that was something easily taken in his stride.
"There's a serious build-up to the Masters and I can't get my head around it. People are like, 'the Masters, the Masters, the Masters' and I'm like 'I've still got four tournaments before the Masters that I would like to do well in. Obviously, it's probably golf's Holy Grail, with that and The Open. Especially being Irish, The Open has a special place in your heart and Augusta is the most amazing place on earth and you really like to do well around there. But I don't see the build-up that everyone has to it. I just kind of think of it as it's another event, it's a massive event that I want to do well in, so I don't think I've ever been fazed by that. I've just been fazed by the whole place itself," he said, also giving his take on Jordan Spieth's collapse.
Lowry also chatted about his closeness with Padraig Harrington and his Olympics aim.
