Shortly after Conor McGregor succumbed to Nate Diaz's rear naked choke at UFC 196, Budweiser released an advertisement featuring the Featherweight champion.
The 40 second ad, in which McGregor talks about pursing dreams, has yielded almost 200,000 views since its release. However, according to an article in the Sunday Business Post, RTÉ are refusing to show the piece.
The article explains that the broadcaster came to this decision due to concerns over a breach of advertising regulations, which dictate that marketing should not be used to encourage children to consume alcohol using figures who are referred to as 'heroes of the young'.
However, Conor McGregor does not drink alcohol at any point during the advertisement, nor does he mention anything connected with Budweiser or alcohol in general.
