Rory McIlroy has made a solid start in his first tournament back after seven weeks out with a rib injury.
The Northern Irishman carded an opening round 68 at the WGC Mexico Championship, that included an eagle 3 at the 6th hole.
McIlroy ends the day right in contention on 3-under par.

McIlroy also birdied the 1st and the 11th, as well as bogeying the 5th to stay in touch with the leading groups.
He is also joined on 3-under by Sergio Garcia among others, while Rickie Fowler are among those who are a shot further back.

England's Lee Westwood led the way on 6-under through 16, two shots clear of the field, with Ross Fisher and Jimmy Walker among those finishing up on 4-under for the day.
