The tee times for the opening two rounds of the US Open, have been revealed with Rory McIlroy being drawn in a headline group.
A US Open champion in 2011, McIlroy will be joined by two former Major winners for the opening two rounds at Erin Hills in Wisconsin. The Hollywood-born golfer will play with Ryder Cup teammate and former US Open champion Justin Rose. Jason Day, the former World number one completes the group.
One of four Irish players in the tournament, McIlroy is the island's best hope of winning the title. He has had just one top-ten finish at the year's second major since his 2011 win.
2010 champion Graeme McDowell is in an all-European group. He plays with former Ryder Cup teammates Lee Westwood and Ross Fisher.
After his second-place finish last year, Shane Lowry has been drawn with two PGA Tour stalwarts. The Offaly golfer has been drawn with Scott Piercy and America's Ryder Cup captain Jim Furyk.

Paul Dunne will make his debut in the tournament after qualifying for the event last month. The Wicklow golfer will play with David Lingmerth and Haotong Li.
Reigning champion Dustin Johnson has been named in one of the feature groups. The American has been paired with multiple major winners Martin Kaymer and Jordan Spieth.
Phil Mickelson's hopes of playing in the tournament remain alive. Last month, the six-time runner-up admitted he would skip the event to attend his daughter's graduation. He has yet to formally withdraw, and has been handed a late tee-time on Thursday.
Mickelson will need a rain-delay on the opening day if he is to make his tee-time, following a three-hour flight from California after his daughter's graduation.
