Donald Cerrone has been ruled out of his UFC 213 welterweight bout with Robbie Lawler next weekend, according to reports.
MMAFighting.com's Luke Thomas claims that 'Cowboy' has picked up an undisclosed injury which will rule him out of the bout on 8 July, but could see it rescheduled to UFC 214.
This latest hiccup makes it the promotion's third attempt at scheduling the fight.
It was originally slated for UFC 205 last November, on the main card of Conor McGregor's lightweight title bout against Eddie Alvarez at Madison Square Garden. Cerrone was however forced to pull out due to injury.
Cerrone has won four of his five fights since his move up to 170lbs, but comes off the back of a second round defeat to Jorge Masvidal in January.
Lawler, meanwhile, has been out of action since losing his welterweight title to Tyron Woodley last July. Woodley has gone on to defend his title twice against Stephen 'Wonderboy' Thompson in that time.
UFC 213 is currently headlined by a UFC women’s bantamweight title fight between champion Amanda Nunes and Valentina Schevchenko.
It will take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.
