Rory McIlroy has finished with a bogey to scupper an otherwise superb second round at The Players Championship.
The World Number 3 shot an 8-under par 64 today to move into contention heading into the weekend.
But after he matched the record set by Shane Lowry last night when he completed the back nine at Sawgrass in just 29 strokes, it could have been so much better for the Northern Ireland man.
However, he could only add a further two bogeys on his way back to the clubhouse before that dropped shot on the last.

It means that McIlroy's just two shots off joint leaders Jonas Blixt and Alex Cejka, who are both on 10-under par.
But World Number 1 Jason Day is still waiting to start his second round as he prepares to resume from 9-under par.
Of the other Irish players, Shane Lowry remains on 7-under par after just starting his second round.
Graeme McDowell should make it into the weekend field on 2-under par
But Padraig Harrington will miss the cut after he carded a 74 today to slip back to 2-over par.
