Pipped again by the French, Skibbereen brothers Paul and Gary O'Donovan have won silver in the A final of the lightweight mens double sculls in Poznan.
The pair were competing in the World Rowing Cup II event in Poland this weekend and finished behind French duo Pierre Houin and Jeremie Azou - who also finished ahead of them at the European Rowing Championships at the end of May.
An enduring rivalry against the French has intensified since Houin and Azou pipped the Cork natives to an Olympic gold medal in Rio last August.
The French pair recorded a time of 06:12.400, with the O'Donovan brothers coming in at 06:15.330. They finished ahead of Poland's Jerzy Kowalski and Milosz Jankowski in third.

The result comes a day after Mark O'Donovan and Shane O'Driscoll claimed gold in their lightweight men's pair A final.
