Top UFC lightweight contender Khabib Nurmagomedov is targeting a bout with Tony Ferguson for his return later this year.
The pair were due to fight for the interim lightweight title at UFC 209 but the bout was cancelled after the Dagestani suffered complications during the weight-cut in the lead up to the fight.
He had to be transferred to hospital to receive fluids and the bout was cancelled.
Nurmagomedov is a devout Muslim and has just celebrated the conclusion of Ramadan so he can prepare to get himself in shape to compete at the highest level again.
Speaking to Russia Today, he said: "I’m going through rehabilitation, as I said. I can’t give you a certain date. But it’s going to be this fall. I’ll take this summer to rehabilitate. In the fall, I’ll start my preparation and at the end of the fall I want to have a fight.

"We’ll repeat the same fight again (against Ferguson). I have no interest in any other fight. I have to finish my business with Tony Ferguson," he added.
