New baseball recruit sings Aerosmith classic in Japanese themed party

In what can only be described as equal parts bizarre and hilarious, the Chicago Cubs have given us one of the highlights of the MLB pre-season so far.

Normally preoccupied with our own obsession for sports involving hitting a ball around a park with a stick, baseball doesn't is usually nothing more than an afterthought on US sports on these shores.

However, a recent video has surfaced online that we feel is worthy of sharing, as the Chicago Cubs recently held a Japanese themed warm-up session ahead of the regular season.

Currently considered as one of the favourites by those in the know, the Cubs are hoping to keep spirits high as they look to end an 108 year wait for glory, and they seem to be going the right way about it.

Inspired by new recruit Muneori Kawasaki, the team all war Japanese headbands and listened to classic songs such as 'Kung Fu Fighting' and 'I'm Turning Japanese'.

However, the highlight of the session was undoubtedly when Kawasaki took to the stage to give out a belting rendition of Aerosmith's 'I don't wanna miss a thing.'
