Conor McGregor turned to social media on Monday to once again make his case to be reinstated to the UFC 200 card.
In a series of tweets, McGregor claimed that he would "school" Diaz if there were to be a rematch between the two, that during their fight Diaz was "swept and controlled" on the ground, and that he made "more excuses for the first 8 minutes of our fight than I have made for the last 2 minutes of our fight."
On the floor he was swept and controlled.

On Facebook, McGregor also stated that the real fight that fans wanted to see was a rematch between him and Diaz, and that "Nobody gives a f*ck about these other fights until this one is settled."
In response to the Dubliner's outburst, Diaz also took to social media too, issuing a very succinct tweet that made it clear what he thought of McGregor.

With the battle taking place mainly on social media now, it's beginning to look increasingly unlikely that the two will get to fight in the octagon again any time soon.
