Minding produces dominant display to win at Naas

Minding has shown her class yet again by taking the Mooresbridge Stakes at Naas on Monday afternoon.

The Aidan O'Brien trained filly was a comfortable winner at odds of 1-3, ahead of Jim Bolger's Moonlight Magic.

The seven-time Group 1 winner looks to have equally as an exciting campaign ahead of her for Aidan O'Brien judging by today's lovely reappearance win.

"It was nice to see her going again," O'Brien commented after the race. "She has the option of the Tattersalls [Gold Cup] or the Lockinge at Newbury."

He added: "We'll probably be looking at the Tattersalls."

Moonlight Magic did try and impose itself on the race, but Ryan Moore was able to guide the four-year-old to victory.

Meanwhile, Michael Halford, yet to win a Classic race, looks to have a good chance of landing his first when Rehana tackles the Irish 1,00 Guineas.

The Dark Angel filly confirmed herself as a quality animal when winning the Athasi Stakes at Naas today.

Owned by the Aga Khan, Rehana was much too good for Rose De Pierre in second spot.

She was ridden by Shane Foley and returned a 6-4 joint-favourite.
