Rory McIlroy and Padraig Harrington have both endured difficult opening rounds at the Wells Fargo Championship in Charlotte.
World No 3 McIlroy fired three consecutive birdies on his back nine to scramble his way to a 1-over par 73 today after the world number three had made the turn on 4-over.
That leaves him outside the Top 50 in the leaderboard.
Harrington bogeyed the 18th to finish his round on 2-over par.
Shane Lowry will tee-off later this hour.
India's Anirban Lahiri holds a two-shot lead on 6-under par.
