Manny Pacquiao announces retirement after defeating Timothy Bradley

Manny Pacquiao announced his retirement from boxing after a unanimous points win over Timothy Bradley in Las Vegas on Saturday night.

The Filipino fighter defeated his opponent for the second time in his career, after losing the first fight between the duo in 2012. The win was Pacquiao's 58th out of 66 fights.

The veteran dominated the fight from start to finish. All three judges awarded Pacquiao a 116-110 win, giving the 37-year-old, eight out of the 12 rounds.

After the fight, Pacquiao revealed he plans to step back from fighting to continue his career in politics in the Philippines. "I'm going to go home and think about it. I want to be with my family. I want to serve the people."

Pacquiao currently serves as a member of the Philippines House of Representatives. He is also currently in the middle of an election campaign to join the nation's senate.

The two men embraced at the end of the fight and even tried to arrange to have breakfast together before leaving Las Vegas.
