Katie Taylor's next fight fixed for March

Katie Taylor aims to extend her unbeaten professional record when she appears on the undercard of David Haye and Tony Bellew's heavyweight bout next month.

The pair meet at The O2 in London on March 4 and the 2012 Olympic gold medallist is aiming to add to her two victories in the professional ranks. So far, Taylor has racked up wins over Karina Kopinska and Viviane Obenauf.

She had been set to appear on the undercard for Gennady Golovkin's bout with Daniel Jacobs, but a disagreement between Top Rank Promotions and Eddie Hearn's Matchroom Boxing saw her removed from the card.

"It's great to be on another big card in front of a huge crowd at an arena like The O2," Taylor told Sky Sports

"I think people are really excited about the Haye-Bellew fight and the rivalry between those guys. As a boxer, these are the kind of nights you want to be a part of. It's a massive stage for me and I'm really looking forward to it.

"I've been here in the US for the last few weeks in training camp for the fight and working hard. It's the start of a very big year for me and I know there are big plans, but I need to keep winning and keep performing so I'm not looking any further beyond March 4."

The 30-year-old is yet to learn of her opponent yet.

With regards to the main event, both Haye and Bellew have been warned over their behaviour ahead of the bout, with the British Boxing Board of Control aiming to avoid farcical scenes that marred the build-up to Dereck Chisora's bout with Dillian Whyte
