Katie Taylor bounced back from defeat to claim a comprehensive victory in her 3rd/4th box-off in the European Olympic Qualifiers.
Taylor defeated Bulgaria's Svetlana Staneva this afternoon to claim third spot in the lightweight division, offering her some redemption after defeat to Azerbaijan’s Yana Alexseevna during the week.
Taylor, who is the current European, World and Olympic champions, defeated her opponent via unanimous decision in Samsun, Turkey.

All three judges scored their cards 10-9 in favour of the Bray boxer for the first three rounds, with Taylor knocking her opponent to the canvas in the final round.
The scorecards counted 119-108 by the end of the final round.
