In recent memory, the series of games in the mid-2000s saw a huge spike in public interest, as the violence and physical confrontations brought about a huge amount of scrutiny.
The teams have always featured huge stars of both the GAA and AFL, and this year will be no different as the teams have been named for Saturday's clash at Croke Park; Australia clearly mean business with their picks while Joe Kernan's squad features a number of All-Ireland winners and some of the best performers from the Championship this year.
