"It was reminiscent of Mike Tyson's loss against Buster Douglas all those years ago."
Certainly the shock factor MMA journalist Mark O'Toole was referring to was very reminiscent as the world reacted to UFC phenomenon Ronda Rousey's stunning defeat at the hands (or more accurately kick) of challenger Holly Holm.
It was a first defeat for Rousey in mixed-martial arts and as O'Toole explained on the Rewind, Holm had done her homework on her much vaunted opponent.
"Unbelievable!" @_HOLLYHOLM knockouts @RondaRousey to win the women's bantamweight title. #UFC193 https://t.co/09gjsWzK8o

"She waited for Ronda Rousey to come forward, do the usual bull rush and just circled away from her, picked her shots and Holly Holm has over 30 fights as a world boxing champion, she's experienced in kick-boxing. She hit Rousey early in the second round with a beautiful straight and then followed it up with a kick and then finished her off on the ground. It was an aesthetically amazing-looking knockout."
