It's now coming up to three years since Rory McIlroy last won a Major.
And this weekend at the US Open... well, the former World No 1 didn't make it to the weekend as he missed the cut after his Thursday and Friday round.
However, the 28 year old Northern Irishman is only returning from injury and will be building peak fitness again over the coming weeks.
But there is growing murmurings about his form and golf writer Lawrence Donegan considered the slide from Major winning status on Off The Balltonight.
"It's been three years since he won a Major. It's been amazing to me that it's almost been 10 years since Tiger won his last Major. Where do the years ago?" he said.
"This is what happens. It's slips past so quickly. The thing is when Rory's fit and ready, he goes out and he wins the FedEx Cup, goes out and wins the Tour Championship. So he's still the man to me when everybody's playing at their absolute best, he's still the guy I think. He beats them all.
"I couldn't believe it, in his little spat with Elkington, he was 28 years old. God, I remember him being at Carnoustie 10 years ago as this little kid. But I don't think we should be writing him off right now."
Donegan added that nobody really thinks that McIlroy will finish his career with just the four Majors that he is currently on.
"But you are right. Time is slipping by. It's always something with him but you just hope that the talent comes through and he still is the guy."
